The Prison Tour is an optional add-on to any ticket type.

Prior to the concert, join the Fremantle Prison Highlights Tour; a 30-minute tour that provides visitors with an insight into the past of Fremantle Prison, taking guests through the Main Cell Block, Solitary Confinement and Gallows. Find out how a convict-built prison transformed into Western Australia’s primary place of incarceration for men, women and children, from its construction in the 1850s to a maximum-security gaol from 1887 to 1991. With an experienced guide leading the way, walk back in time and learn about the daily routine of prisoners and the realities of life on the inside of WA’s only World Heritage-listed building. Wheelchair accessibility: 100%

Tours will be conducted in small groups and will begin from around 5.00pm. Ticket holders will be notified prior to the concert about the best time to arrive at the venue.

Amidst the chaos that was the Sex Pistols, it’s often overlooked just what a great band they are, and what great records they made. The Sex Pistols are no ordinary band; their story is long and complicated, and not without its casualties. Without them popular culture in the last 30+ years would be very, very different. The Pistols didn’t just kick down doors; they kicked them off the wall. For a band who (really) only released one album and four singles, they spawned a sea of imitators; and still do to this day. Not bad for a band that supposedly “couldn’t play”.  The Sex Pistols certainly could play; one listen to their ferocious raw rock and roll will soon tell you that.

In August 2023, Frank Carter joined Paul Cook, Steve Jones, Glen Matlock of Sex Pistols for one of the most surprising and adored music events of the year. Members of one of the most influential rock bands of all time, plus life-long fan and modern-day punk icon Carter, performed the Sex Pistols’ iconic 1977 album Never Mind The Bollocks in full.

Their 2021 debut Future Forecast introduced a high-intensity sound, blending self-aware urgency with sharp social commentary—earning praise from critics and punk icon Henry Rollins. Their sophomore album, Taken By Force, pushes their sonic boundaries further, capturing a thrilling mix of catharsis and reckless fun.

Described by Stereogum as “an unholy lo-fi pile-up of garage rock, punk, and ’90s noise-rock,” CIVIC formed in 2017 when frontman Jim McCullough envisioned a band inspired by Australian punk legends like Radio Birdman and The Saints. Their explosive 2018 debut EP New Vietnam cemented them as a force in Melbourne’s underground scene. They quickly built a reputation for electrifying live shows, touring Europe in 2019 and commanding festival stages back home.

CIVIC aren’t just reviving rock and roll—they’re injecting it with fresh urgency, proving that punk’s primal spirit still resonates.

Gates open at 6.00PM. Please be aware there may be queues to enter the venue for the first part of the evening.

For patrons in a wheelchair, there will be an accessible viewing area. There are two accessible viewing areas: For Premium GA ticketholders it is located at the front of the Premium GA area, and for General Admission ticketholders it is located at the front of the General Admission area.

Fremantle Prison is a World Heritage site and must be respected at all times.

Visitors to Fremantle Prison should note that the surfaces you walk on are not always even. Please watch your step.

No shoes, no shirt, no entry.

Fremantle Prison is strictly a non-smoking site.

Fremantle Prison accepts no liability for any loss, damage or injury arising from a visit or whilst on the premises.

It is a condition of entry that visitors observe all signs and follow instructions by Fremantle Prison staff.

Fremantle Prison retains the right to deny access and/or remove visitors who are being a public nuisance, acting recklessly, or failing to observe directions from Fremantle Prison staff or signage.

Strictly no BYO alcohol, and no smoking.

Food and drinks will be available to purchase at the venue. You cannot bring your own food.

No pass outs.

PARKING INFORMATION

A paid car park catering for over 60 vehicles is located directly outside Fremantle Prison, The Terrace via Fothergill Street.

Another large paid car park is located at the bottom of Fairbairn Ramp, accessible via Parry Street.

There are two ACROD parking bays located in City of Fremantle car park #29 (The Terrace) and three located in City of Fremantle car park #1 (Parry St).

Both car parks are managed by the City of Fremantle and parking fees apply.
