Norwegian alt-pop singer, songwriter and producer AURORA is returning to Australia in February 2025, set to light up the stage in the courtyard of the iconic Fremantle Prison with her spell-binding live performance.

A true original, AURORA has used her songs to stand up for climate change and LGBTQIA+ rights to exploring the vulnerabilities of love and embracing being yourself. Her heavenly sounds have connected with people all over the globe, with her otherworldly vocals and soaring melodies capturing hearts far and wide. The Prison Tour is an optional add-on to either a General Admission or Premium GA Ticket.

Prior to the concert, join the Fremantle Prison Highlights Tour; a 30-minute tour that provides visitors with an insight into the past of Fremantle Prison, taking guests through the Main Cell Block, Solitary Confinement and Gallows. Find out how a convict-built prison transformed into Western Australia’s primary place of incarceration for men, women and children, from its construction in the 1850s to a maximum-security gaol from 1887 to 1991. With an experienced guide leading the way, walk back in time and learn about the daily routine of prisoners and the realities of life on the inside of WA’s only World Heritage-listed building. Wheelchair accessibility: 100%

Tours will be conducted in small groups and will begin from around 5.00pm. Ticket holders will be notified prior to the concert about the best time to arrive at the venue.

HANNAH BREWER

Known for her captivating storytelling and distinct musical style, Hannah Brewer grew up in a family of classically trained musicians and was introduced to a variety of instruments and genres early on, playing the trumpet, guitar, French horn and keys. A familiar face on the Sydney songwriting circuit, Brewer has collaborated with a range of artists including Hanni, Chloe Parche, Thomas Porter and Ukiyo, among others. Her debut EP Child of Divorce, showcases her evolution as a talented songwriter, blending sharp, tongue-in-cheek lyrics with poignant reflections on personal experiences. With her clever storytelling, Brewer tackles complex topics with humour and vulnerability.

Gates open at 5.30PM. Please be aware there may be queues to enter the venue for the first part of the evening.

For patrons in a wheelchair, there will be an accessible viewing area. There are two accessible viewing areas: For Premium GA ticketholders it is located at the front of the Premium GA area, and for General Admission ticketholders it is located at the front of the General Admission area.

Fremantle Prison is a World Heritage site and must be respected at all times.

Visitors to Fremantle Prison should note that the surfaces you walk on are not always even. Please watch your step.

No shoes, no shirt, no entry.

Fremantle Prison is strictly a non-smoking site.

Fremantle Prison accepts no liability for any loss, damage or injury arising from a visit or whilst on the premises.

It is a condition of entry that visitors observe all signs and follow instructions by Fremantle Prison staff.

Fremantle Prison retains the right to deny access and/or remove visitors who are being a public nuisance, acting recklessly, or failing to observe directions from Fremantle Prison staff or signage.

Strictly no BYO alcohol, and no smoking.

Food and drinks will be available to purchase at the venue. You cannot bring your own food.

No pass outs.

PARKING INFORMATION

A paid car park catering for over 60 vehicles is located directly outside Fremantle Prison, The Terrace via Fothergill Street.

Another large paid car park is located at the bottom of Fairbairn Ramp, accessible via Parry Street.

There are two ACROD parking bays located in City of Fremantle car park #29 (The Terrace) and three located in City of Fremantle car park #1 (Parry St).

Both car parks are managed by the City of Fremantle and parking fees apply.
