Children under the age of 3 are permitted free of charge without a ticket. Children aged 3-17 must have a valid children’s ticket and be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. A Child may enter the Premium GA area so long as accompanied by a Parent with a valid Premium GA ticket.

The parent/legal guardian must be in the immediate presence of the minor at all times while on the premises.

MISSY HIGGINS

Australian singer/songwriter Missy Higgins has enjoyed phenomenal success with her irresistible melodies, seering lyrics and an authentically striking voice. She was just 21 when her 2004 debut, ‘The Sound of White’, exploded in Australia. The nine-times Platinum, six-time ARIA Award winning album was the first of her five domestic #1’s. Her 2007 follow-up, ‘On A Clear Night’ followed with another chart topping single, ‘Steer’, plus RIAA gold-certified U.S. breakthrough hit, ‘Where I Stood’.

Missy remains one of Australia’s most revered voices. 2018’s ‘Solastalgia’ probed the existential crises that come with climate change and was accompanied by a stadium tour with Ed Sheeran while her work on the soundtrack to the acclaimed TV Series “Total Control” earned her several songwriting awards in 2022 and inspired the Total Control mini-album. Most recently, Missy received the Melbourne Prize for Music 2022. The triennial award honours Victorian artists whose work has made an outstanding contribution to Australian music and to cultural life.

From bustling cities to the farthest regional and coastal towns, they have spent the past 25 years, reuniting with old friends, and gathering new fans, thanks to their enchanting live shows and affable natures. Four years on from celebrating their 25th anniversary and their #1 ARIA chart topping album Ironbark, Donna Simpson, Vikki Thorn and Josh Cunningham (with ever faithful and long-standing rhythm section of David Ross Macdonald and Ben Franz on board as usual) continue to share their folk-infused, feel good sounds with adoring, now multi generation audiences.

Betty Taylor is the friend that holds your hand after your hearts been broken. Their music is the perfect blend of indie hooks with honest poignant lyrics delivered by the hugely endearing Sophie Patrick. This is stunningly complimented by the undeniable harmonies and dreamy guitar of Kayla Smart who is hugely accomplished in her own right with her solo project Dorah Jacson.

Together they are equal parts power and grace that makes you feel like every song is written just for you. The band is named after Sophie’s grandmother which in itself is a testament to the warmth of this group.
Betty Taylor’s unforgettable, often cheeky and beautiful live show has carried them onto stages playing support shows for the likes of Girl in Red, Pacific Avenue, Teenage Dads, The Terrys and more.

CAN I BRING MY CHILD TO THIS EVENT?

SummerSalt is family-friendly.

A Child may enter the Premium GA area so long as accompanied by a Parent with a valid Premium GA ticket.

CAN I BYO FOOD & BEVERAGES?

This is a fully catered venue with a range of bar and food options. Free drinking water will be available in the venue and patrons may bring in empty plastic bottles for this purpose. If not in “Standing only”, you may bring a small quantity of your own food/snacks in a cooler bag, small esky, or picnic basket. You may bring SEALED plastic bottles or of water/soft drink. No cans or glass.

CAN I BYO ESKY / COOLER BAG?

Patrons with "BYO Chair" tickets may also bring a small esky or cooler bag up to 50 litres per group.

CAN I BYO ALCOHOL?

You may not bring in or leave with any alcohol whatsoever.

WILL THERE BE FREE DRINKING WATER?

Free drinking water will be available in the venue and patrons may bring in empty plastic bottles for this purpose.

WILL THERE BE A BOX OFFICE?

Tickets are to be purchased online prior to the event and tickets will be sent via email. One box office will be in operation and located near the main entrance where, if relevant, you can collect your ticket or speak to a Ticketmaster representative.

WILL SEATING BE PROVIDED?

Seating is not provided for this event for any ticket category. Patrons are permitted to bring a portable, high back fold up chair. This is roughly the size of a normal height chair. No picnic blankets or low back (low to the ground) chairs. Parents can bring a small blanket for their baby/toddlers to sit/crawl/sit on however adults cannot use picnic blankets. We ask that you respect others at the show and restrict your space usage where possible for the comfort of all patrons.

WHERE CAN I SMOKE?

Smoking is prohibited in all parts of the venue, with the exception of designated smoking areas.

WHAT HAPPENS IF IT RAINS?

The concert will proceed rain or shine. Only exceptionally severe weather conditions will affect the performance, so be prepared for either scenario.

WHERE DO I GO IF I HAVE A PREMIUM TICKET?

There are two ticket types under Premium General Admission. With both types you have access to the dedicated Premium area closest to the stage, as well as dedicated venue entry, and access to a dedicated bar lane. Please look out for signage when entering and inside the event.


There is a PGA Ticket that is “Standing Only” – With this ticket you can only bring small personal items and a handbag or small backpack.
The second PGA Ticket requires you to BYO high back fold up chair. You then also have the option to bring food, small esky etc.

WHERE CAN I PARK?

SummerSalt patrons can utilise any of the ample Free Parking areas within Hervey Bay.
This includes free car parks and street parking.

The two closest car parks to the venue are near the Esplanade & Main Street roundabout.
One is located next to the roundabout opposite Bean Beat, and the other runs off Charles Street.

IS THERE ACCESSIBLE PARKING?

Limited Accessible Parking is available in car parks in the surrounding area. These are on a first-come-first-serve basis. The closest car parks with Accessible bays are located near the Esplanade & Main Street roundabout. One is located next to the roundabout opposite Bean Beat, and the other runs off Charles Street.

If there are no Accessible bays available, these car parks also provide a suitable area for Accessible drop-off/pick-up points.

IS THERE AN ACCESSIBLE AREA?

Our outdoor concert sites are predominantly flat grass parkland and in some cases beach areas, and at times, part of the venue can be soft and boggy. For patrons in a wheelchair, there will be an accessible viewing area. However, being accompanied by a carer is recommended. On show day, our customer service staff will be available if you need assistance in accessing the concert site. We strongly advise that you notify the ticketing agent, when purchasing your ticket, if you are in a wheelchair or need assistance, so we can contact you prior to the event.

CAN I USE A COMPANION CARD?

We have made a number of provisions to ensure our events are accessible to all. These include provision of a complimentary carer ticket, accessible entrance lanes and accessible toilet facilities. OTHER INFORMATION

ZERO TOLERANCE ON ILLEGAL SUBSTANCES AND UNDERAGE DRINKING

We have a zero-tolerance policy on illegal substances and drugs. Anyone suspected of using or found in possession of illegal substances or drugs will be escorted from the grounds and handed over to the police. Undercover police officers may also be actively searching for offenders.

 

COMMITMENT TO SAFETY

We want all our patrons to have a great time at our concerts. That’s what concerts are all about. We actively support and promote equality, diversity and inclusion and strive for our concerts and events to be a place of belonging.

But we take bad behaviour seriously.

Bullying, fighting, inappropriate touching of others, throwing items on stage, or verbal abuse are all clearly abhorrent and unacceptable. No person should ever have to endure this type of behaviour by others when they are attending a concert and simply trying to have a great time. We take various measures at our concerts to keep patrons as safe as possible.

We ensure that security staff that are posted to dancing and “mosh pit” areas have a heightened awareness of bad behaviour.

 

COVID SAFE EVENT

Our events will be run in accordance with applicable Government directions, orders, regulations or guidance associated with COVID-19 in place at the time of the event, which are fluid and may change.

Refunds are only available in limited circumstances as set out in, and subject to, the Ticketmaster Purchase Policy (such as in the event of a cancellation or reschedule) or where required by applicable law. Complying with any government mandates or public health orders in place at the time of the event or the inability to attend due to illness or other change in personal circumstances does not render a patron eligible for a refund or exchange.

All events will be compliant with directions of each state’s Health Department. Should any of our events be unable to proceed on the original advertised date, they will be rescheduled to a planned backup date. All ticket holders will be advised directly in the event that there is a postponement or cancellation.

WHERE IS THE ENTRANCE?

Please note that the event entrance is located on Esplanade near the Esplanade/Main St roundabout.
If you instead arrive at the east side of the venue (opposite end to the entrance), there is a footpath that runs along the beach side of the venue and is a short walk around to the other side.
