WAY DOWN UNDER WE GO TOUR

We're excited to announce the return of high-octane, GRAMMY®-nominated Icelandic rockers KALEO, bringing their celebrated Way Down Under We Go Tour to Australia and New Zealand in February.

For a band whose music has travelled far beyond the borders of their homeland, KALEO’s rise has been remarkable. Since forming in Mosfellsbær (a suburb of Reykjavik) back in 2012, vocalist and guitarist JJ Julius Son, drummer David Antonsson, bassist Daniel Kristjansson and guitarist Rubin Pollock have built a catalogue that sits comfortably between blues-rock muscle, folk introspection and arena-sized hooks.

What began as a local Icelandic phenomenon became a worldwide one with the release of 2016’s A/B, the breakthrough album that delivered enduring singles including ‘Way Down We Go’, ‘All The Pretty Girls’ and ‘No Good’.

The Prison Tour is an optional add-on to either a General Admission or Premium GA Ticket.

Prior to the concert, join the Fremantle Prison Highlights Tour; a 30-minute tour that provides visitors with an insight into the past of Fremantle Prison, taking guests through the Main Cell Block, Solitary Confinement and Gallows. Find out how a convict-built prison transformed into Western Australia’s primary place of incarceration for men, women and children, from its construction in the 1850s to a maximum-security gaol from 1887 to 1991. With an experienced guide leading the way, walk back in time and learn about the daily routine of prisoners and the realities of life on the inside of WA’s only World Heritage-listed building. Wheelchair accessibility: 100%

Tours will be conducted in small groups and will begin from around 5.00pm. Ticket holders will be notified prior to the concert about the best time to arrive at the venue.

CAN I BRING MY CHILD TO THIS EVENT?

This event is all ages but please note that patrons under 18 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian and must pay the full ticket price.

Babies under the age of 2 are permitted free of charge without a ticket. No prams/strollers.


The Promoter recommends parents should consider whether the event is appropriate for their child.

This event is standing only. Seating will not be provided and patrons are not permitted to BYO chair, blankets etc.

Gates open at 5.30PM. Please be aware there may be queues to enter the venue for the first part of the evening.

Fremantle Prison is a World Heritage site and must be respected at all times.

Visitors to Fremantle Prison should note that the surfaces you walk on are not always even. Please watch your step.

No shoes, no shirt, no entry.

Fremantle Prison is strictly a non-smoking site.

Fremantle Prison accepts no liability for any loss, damage or injury arising from a visit or whilst on the premises.

It is a condition of entry that visitors observe all signs and follow instructions by Fremantle Prison staff.

Fremantle Prison retains the right to deny access and/or remove visitors who are being a public nuisance, acting recklessly, or failing to observe directions from Fremantle Prison staff or signage.

Strictly no BYO alcohol, and no smoking.

Food and drinks will be available to purchase at the venue. You cannot bring your own food.

No pass outs.

PARKING INFORMATION

A paid car park catering for over 60 vehicles is located directly outside Fremantle Prison, The Terrace via Fothergill Street.

Another large paid car park is located at the bottom of Fairbairn Ramp, accessible via Parry Street.

There are two ACROD parking bays located in City of Fremantle car park #29 (The Terrace) and three located in City of Fremantle car park #1 (Parry St).

Both car parks are managed by the City of Fremantle and parking fees apply.

WHEN DO I ARRIVE IF I HAVE BOOKED THE PRISON TOUR?

If you have purchased a Prison Tour as part of the concert experience, you will be contacted regarding timings and other details (approximately a week prior to the show).
